Christian Dating online has been around since the mid-90's, when most, if not all of them were Christian-owned. Since then, secular companies have entered the industry in droves, because there is a lot of money involved. Additionally, some sites are owned by people who are either marginal Christians or are not true believers even though claim to be.

I have been involved in the Christian dating business since 1999. I've worked with several Christian dating services as an affiliate, but I've never owned a matchmaking or personals site myself. Over the years, I have seen a dramatic shift in the ownership of the Christian dating service sites, away from Christian ownership to secular ownership. And many of these secular owners support things that go against bibilical values.

The Christian Dating Watchdog has one purpose: To inform Christians about who is running the Christian dating sites they see on the Internet. More specifically, to inform Christians about the many Christian dating sites which are NOT christian-owned or that, for various reasons, should not be used by Christians.

When I began this website, I had no intention of listing "recommended" websites because I did not want this site to appear biased toward certain websites. However, after receiving many requests for recommendations, I finally decided to post a link to a trustworthy website which makes recommendations regarding Christian dating sites.

If you do not see a particular Website listed, don't assume it's because I have approved it. Feel free to contact me and ask about it. There are new dating sites popping up all the time, and it is always possible that I haven't seen it yet.
